The Ruhr University Bochum is one of the leading research universities in Germany. The Ruhr University draws its strength from both the diversity and the proximity of scientific and engineering disciplines on a single, coherent campus. This highly dynamic setting enables students and researchers to work across traditional boundaries of academic subjects and faculties.

The Department of Behavioral and Clinical Neuroscience (BCN) at the Ruhr University Bochum invites applications for a full time (currently 39.83 hours/week), Postdoctoral position (TV-L E14).

The position starts 01.10.2021 and is funded for two years.

The Department of Behavioral and Clinical Neuroscience (BCN) is part of the Deutsches Zentrum für Psychische Gesundheit at the Ruhr University Bochum. Our group investigates the neurophysiological and pathological mechanisms of human and animal cognition with a particular emphasis on learning and memory processes. We combine basic and clinical research to understand how cognitive dysfunctions contribute to the development and chronification of mental disorders. Our goal is to improve the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders.

We offer:

You will find a highly motivated, collaborative, resourceful, and productive team. You will be given the opportunity to work in multiple research projects.

We would like to get to know you! For further questions regarding eligibility and application requirements, please contact Prof. Armin Zlomuzica (armin.zlomuzica@rub.de). Applications should be submitted in one combined PDF, via e-mail, to armin.zlomuzica@rub.de until August 15, 2021.

Travel expenses for interviews cannot be refund.

At the Ruhr University Bochum, we wish to promote careers for women in areas in which they are underrepresented, and we would therefore like to encourage female candidates to send us their applications. Applications by suitable candidates with severe disabilities and other applicants with equal legal status are likewise most welcome.
